  • Effective Communicationthis sis week course is based on concepts of non-violent communication which has at its core the premise that being honest, genuine and real is the foundation of effective communication.  The course will look at things that block our capacity to be honest, genuine and real; defences, moralistic judgements, comparisons and denial of personal responsibility.  These ways of being and expressing ourselves also stand in the way of our ability to have compassion both for ourselves and others.  There will also be the opportunity to meet the tutor for an informal discussion and overview of the course on Monday 18th January at 10am.

    Begins on Monday 25th January 2016, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

  • MINDFULNESS  - So many of us rush through life without stopping to look or notice much- until it's too late and we become ill, anxious or exhausted.  This course is based on the work of Mark Williams who views mindfulness as an antidote to this way of living.  Mindfulness encourages us to take the time to notice our surroundings, ourselves, our bodies and our feelings, and also just to notice our thoughts rather than being driven by them.  Go using on our awareness of sights, sounds, smells and tastes in the present moment enables us to connect in a very immediate way with our bodies and the sensations we are experiencing here and now. In this way we can see and experience things more clearly and make changes in our lives that are true to ourselves and right for us.  This course will begin after Easter.
